Preorders and Saved-Card Policy
Effective October 20, 2026.
A catalog listing is not a reservation
An upcoming piece can be shown for review before it is ready for reservations. An announced listing, manufacturer reference image or manufacturer release estimate does not mean the piece is physically at SGT Diecast. A release estimate is not the same as a promise that SGT will ship your order on that date.
A preorder opens when its price, reservation limit and expected ship-by date are set. The checkout agreement identifies the specific piece and quantity you select. A cart, abandoned checkout or this example does not confirm a reservation.
Reserve now, pay after arrival and confirmation
For a preorder-only order, checkout charges $0 for the preorder at reservation. You enter your card through Stripe's hosted checkout and expressly agree to save it for the preorders listed in that agreement. Stripe creates the saved-payment setup needed for a later payment. The reservation is confirmed only after the card setup is completed.
The charging trigger is physical arrival at SGT Diecast plus William's confirmation. A manufacturer or distributor status, an estimated release date or a calendar deadline does not by itself charge your card. Recording that a piece arrived also does not by itself submit a charge. Arrival, charging, packing and shipment are separate steps.
The authorization covers one charge for each preorder shipment under that agreement. It is not a subscription or permission to charge for unrelated products. If pieces arrive at different times, they may be charged and shipped separately as disclosed when you reserve.
If a checkout session expires before you complete it, you need to start again. A pending checkout is not a completed reservation. Do not assume a piece is reserved until the confirmation page or confirmation message says the setup is complete.
Prices, discounts, shipping and tax
The agreement itemizes the selected pieces, quantities and agreed unit prices in US dollars. A valid coupon for a new reservation shows the original goods amount, discount and resulting agreed prices. Later catalog-price changes or retirement of that coupon do not rewrite an existing accepted agreement.
Shipping: $12.95 per preorder shipment. Pieces from the same order that arrive together ship together for one shipping charge. Pieces that arrive separately may create separate shipments, each with its own disclosed shipping charge. Separate orders are not combined automatically.
Applicable sales tax is added at the rate in effect when the card is charged. The payment confirmation identifies the actual goods, shipping and tax amounts. A coupon discounts eligible goods, not shipping or sales tax.
If a checkout contains both in-stock pieces and preorders, you pay for the in-stock goods, their shipping and applicable tax at that checkout. The preorder lines show $0 due at that time, with their later goods, shipping and tax charges governed by the saved agreement. Checkout shows those two obligations separately.
Arrivals and limited allocations
SGT records the units actually received before allocating them to waiting reservations. The process serves the oldest waiting reservations first. A multi-piece reservation can be fulfilled in parts if only some of its units arrive.
A supplier estimate or a reservation does not guarantee that the manufacturer will deliver every unit ordered. If a release is canceled or fewer units are supplied, affected unfilled reservations may have to be canceled. We explain the change and do not substitute a different product without your agreement. Any money already paid for an unfulfilled portion is handled under the cancellation and refund policy.
If an expected ship-by date moves
The agreement requires an email before the stated ship-by deadline if SGT cannot meet it. The notice gives a revised date or explains why one cannot be given, explains your cancellation option and states any response deadline. A manufacturer's change does not erase your agreed ship-by date or your cancellation option.
Read a delay notice carefully. It explains whether an affirmative response is needed to keep waiting. If required consent is not obtained, the affected unshipped reservation is canceled and any refund due is issued under the cancellation and refund policy and applicable requirements. Do not treat silence as agreement to wait indefinitely.
Canceling and refunds
You may cancel at no cost before we charge the saved card for the affected piece, using the private management link or by contacting SGT. Once a charge is in progress, contact us so we can confirm its status. Do not assume an in-progress payment has been canceled merely because you sent a request.
Once a NASCAR purchase has been paid, it is final sale. We do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges and we do not offer discretionary refunds, including voluntary cancellation after charging and before dispatch. This includes NASCAR autographed pieces and NASCAR pre-owned collection pieces.
The NASCAR final-sale rule does not remove required cancellations, refunds or other remedies for delayed or unfulfilled orders, or under applicable law. It does not prevent you from reporting a damaged, incorrect, misdescribed or missing item. Products other than NASCAR pieces are not offered for online checkout at this time.
When a cancellation refund is due, the amounts and processing periods are described in Shipping and Returns: cancellations. A partial cancellation does not erase a shipping charge that still applies to other pieces being shipped. Refunds use the amount actually paid, including any discount, and return to the original payment method. A bank may take additional time to display a credit.
Publishing an update to this policy does not change an existing agreement.
If the saved-card charge fails
For an ordinary declined or authentication-required payment, the process sends a private link to complete payment through Stripe. The affected pieces are held for at least seven days, through the deadline stated in that message. If payment is not completed by the deadline, the unpaid reservation may be canceled.
Some payment problems require review before another attempt can proceed. If a payment's result is uncertain, or you believe you have already paid, contact SGT before trying to pay again. A failed-payment email is not permission to pay a different amount or add a different product to the original agreement.
Keeping the saved card current
Use the private preorder-management link to enter a replacement card securely through Stripe. Replacing the card does not itself charge for the preorder or change its agreed prices. It replaces the saved card for the eligible unpaid preorders in that order; completed payments remain unchanged.
The store can request a card update when an expiration date or payment-method check indicates a problem. Card issuers and Stripe may also provide updated card information. Do not rely on an automatic update or reminder to keep a reservation valid. Contact SGT if your card changes or you cannot use the private management link.
Keep order, payment and management links private. They can give access to information or actions for your order. Do not share them publicly.
Nonbinding agreement example
This is an instructional example, not a completed customer agreement. It names no product, buyer, quantity, price or promised date. It contains no acceptance checkbox, payment button or signature request. Reading it does not save a card or grant payment permission.
At checkout, the full agreement first lists each selected product's title, scale, quantity, agreed unit price and expected ship-by date. Where a coupon applies, it also shows the original prices, code, discount and saved prices. It identifies the shipping amount and rule, explains how separate shipments affect shipping, states the goods-and-shipping total before applicable tax, and identifies the seller and support contacts.
The checkout agreement includes these explanations, shown here as an example:
Today: $0.
Your card: we save the card you enter next with Stripe, our payment processor, and use it only for these preorders.
When we charge it: once per shipment, only after its pieces physically arrive at SGT Diecast and William confirms the charge. Arrival and charging are separate from shipment; your expected ship-by date is shown above.
If it is late: we will email you before the stated ship-by date with a new date or the reason for the delay, and you can cancel at no cost.
Changes: we will email you before any change to this agreement. It ends when your preorder ships or is canceled.
I agree to this preorder agreement. I authorize SGT Diecast to save my card and charge it as described.
The complete agreement includes the cancellation policy, the payment deadline and the actual selected pieces, prices and ship-by dates.
The checkout presents the full itemized agreement before asking for explicit acceptance and proceeding to Stripe. SGT saves the accepted wording, version, acceptance record and agreed prices with the reservation. A later policy update, catalog edit or new agreement template does not rewrite that saved record.
